Speeches
Our global coverage of the product lifecycle management (PLM) market includes the simulation & analysis segment, estimated at $5.X billion in calendar year 2015. While the S&A market has been one of the fastest growing segments tracked by CIMdata over the last five years, the practice of simulation is changing, both in terms of the part of the lifecycle and the business of simulation.
The growing demand for smart, connected products almost requires a systems approach to development, one that can readily leverage many types of simulation early in the lifecycle, moving well beyond validation to front-end innovation. Solution and service providers have adapted (and even pushed for) this new reality. This talk will focus on the evolution of the business and practice of simulation to support the product lifecycle, highlighting market results, recent mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and the new requirements levied by smart, connected products.
